Radiant Under-the-Floor Heating SystemsRadiant heating systems utilize a separate heat source (for example, a boiler) to provide heated water to circulate through plastic pipes under the floor. Typical water temperatures are set so that the floor temperature does not exceed 85°F. Radiant floor heating is a very efficient and comfortable method of heating a home or office. |

When installing a radiant heating system, the plastic heating pipes are installed in a concrete or gypcrete floor, or can be attached by clips under a wooden floor. A radiant system can be installed in an existing home or placed into plans for a new home. It requires calculations to be done from the project floor plans and heat loss to be calculated for each room. A report is then generated to detail how many feet of tubing will be required for each room. |

A Breakthrough in the design, control and installation of radiant systems The Taco Radian Mixing Block (RMB) is engineered to simplify radiant system installation and provide years of quiet, dependable service. With only four piping connections needed, the RMB slashes space requirements and installation times to a minimum. The RMB's patent pending design combines a variable speed injection mixing control, an injection circulator, a system circulator and air elimination in one simple unit. The RMB can be set up to operate as an outdoor reset control, or a setpoint control, with or without delta T limiting, providing flexibility never before seen in a single unit. |

Sizing and piping the Radiant Mixing Block The RMB can handle radiant load demands of up to 120,000 BTU's and there is no need to change your current method of zoning the radiant loops. You can even use multiple RMBs to easily separate the distinctive temperature requirements between manifolds easily, without special piping. Just 4 connections do the job. |

Radiant heating can also be supplied with ceiling panels. This method is normally used in schools and offices. Ceiling panels run at higher temperatures than floor heating systems. Typical ceiling systems utilize aluminum panels with copper tubing attached to the upper side of the panel. They can be installed in T-bar or drywall ceilings and painted to match any decor. Step into a world of comfort with radiant heat. Radiant heating technology has been used for centuries and with the new high efficient boilers on the market, it provides an unbeatable combination of comfort, control and efficiency. |
