Specs of the XL15i Heat Pump (R22 refrigerant)

The XL19i offers a SEER rating of up to 17.90 and has a HSPF of up to 8.90. This means it offers an unbeatable combination of energy efficiency and lower operating costs.

When matched with a variable speed indoor unit from Trane, the XL19i heat pump has another special comfort feature. It's Comfort-R™ and it gives you greater humidity control in cooling. With a variable speed system, Comfort-R™ can remove up to 24 gallons of moisture a day, compared to only 6 gallons removed by a single speed system.

When this enhanced mode is set by the installer, the motor ramps up more slowly at start-up, moving air slowly across the cooling coil. This allows the cooling coil to rapidly cool, resulting in increased moisture removal. Comfort-R™ also provides warmer air during heating startup

Two-Stage Cooling & Three-Stage Heating Provide Significant Savings

A unique feature of the XL19i heat pump is two-stage cooling and three-stage heating. That means most of the time your unit will operate comfortably and efficiently at low speed, giving you significant savings. And, because it operates at this low speed most of the time, your unit will run quietly at the highest comfort level. On those extreme days when more heating or cooling is required, the XL19i will switch to the next stage to provide maximum comfort.
