The SLIM JIM® pond loop in a package makes installations of Geo Exchange in ponds, lakes, rivers or oceans as simple as it gets!

SLIM JIM® The Geo Lake Plate is the lake loop of choice for fluid heat transfer in Geo Exchange heat pumps or water cooled equipment.

Slim JimŽ Geo Lake PlateŽ Heat Exchanger is the simple, labor-friendly alternative to polyethylene pipe (lake loops) for fluid to fluid heat transfer in any water cooled refrigeration or air conditioning equipment (ponds/lakes/rivers).

The Slim JimŽ provides a simple, labor friendly alternative to the plastic method that will save you time during installation and money through reduced labor costs.

Applications:

• 304 & 316L stainless - fresh water applications
• Titanium - brackish and seawater applications

Installations Requirements:

• For proper operation and maximum performance, the Slim JimŽ must:
• Be installed vertically, completely submerged in a body of water
• Be supported off bottom and out of silt/mud
• In northern climates, a minimum of 2' clearance beneath ice cap and top plates is recommended
• The body of water must be adequate to accommodate the load requirements

Multiple plates of like capacity can be manifold in field with PE pipes to accommodate larger loads. Or custom build (pre-manifold multiple plates) with stainless steel headers equipped with flange connections (single point hookup), reinforced frame, fitted with legs or skids and lift points for handling are available.

SLIM JIMŽ Specifications

Flow Rate:

Three (3) GPM per ton equipment.

Approximate Heat Transfer Rate:

100 Btu per square foot transfer surface of plate per Degree Delta T in a still body of water. Both sides of the plate are exchanger surfaces.

Note:

Any current accentuates performance greatly and allows for closer grouping of multiple plate assembly - such as river applications
