To meet the demands for energy conservation, we have built our homes to keep fresh air out. As we increase our home's efficiency, we also become more efficient at trapping contaminants. Greentek's HEPA media is certified 99.97% effective at removing particles down to 0.3 microns

A micron is equal to a millionth of a meter, or 0.00003937 inch. A human hair is approximately 75 microns in diameter. The smallest particle that can be seen with the naked eye is 40 microns.

Small particles can penetrate deep into the lungs where they may cause acute or chronic illness. Larger particles can cause allergic reactions such as runny nose, watery eyes, sore throat, sneezing, coughing, skin rashes, headaches, asthma and an increased risk of developing an allergy.

In addition to these particles, most homes contain some level of toxic gasses. These gasses enter our lungs and bloodstream and can cause health problems ranging from coughing, headache, fatigue and flu symptoms to cancer.

Stage 1 - Pleated pre-filter

Our powerful, high-performance motor pulls air through our high capacity pleated pre-filter that captures large airborne particulates such as dust, pollen and moulds. Screening the larger particulates through this economical filter extends the life and effectiveness of the HEPA filter unit.

Stage 2 - Carbon filter

Reduces hazardous airborne chemicals produced from household cleaners, paints, solvents, carpets and furniture (VOCs). Absorbs odours emitted by these chemicals and from cooking and tobacco smoke.

Stage 3 - HEPA filter

The HEPA Media traps smaller particles such as bacteria, viruses, smoke and more. Greentek's HEPA media is certified 99.97% efficient @ 0.3 microns. To quality as a "true" HEPA, the filter must allow no more than 3 particles out of 10,000 to penetrate the filtration media.

The German-engineered motors feature backward-inclined impeller blades for high air flow efficiency and low energy consumption. Equipped with this maintenance-free PSC motor with permanently sealed lubricated ball bearings, Greentek's HEPA system performs better, lasts longer and requires less energy than any other comparable model Each motor is tested individually and balanced for optimum performance.

2 - Ultra-quiet Operation

What makes Greentek's HEPA filtering system quieter than comparable models? Our unique design places filters on either side of the motor fan, creating a double sound barrier. Our backward-inclined motorized impellers are specially designed to run quietly and efficiently. In addition, the entire unit casing is lined with non-toxic insulation and rubber mounts isolate the motor from the cabinet.

3 - Easy Maintenance

Maintenance is a breeze with Greentek's modular construction. The pre-filter, carbon filter and HEPA media filter slide out for easy replacement. Once the filters are removed, the inside of the unit is completely accessible. The insulated lining is covered with a non porous surface, which wipes clean easily. On average,e the carbon and pre-filter will need to be replaced every 3 to 6 months. The HEPA filters needs replacing every 2 to 5 years.

Greentek products are backed by the best limited warranty in the industry: 10 years on the motorized impeller and 5 years against manufacturing defects on all other components (except replaceable pre, carbon and HEPA filters).
